Early to bed, early to rise. I will be going to bed soon, to get up around 2:00 am to hit the road. No matter what route  I select to return to Los Angeles I am going to hit some weather conditions not favorable for driving. I can handle it but I doubt my red rental car is as confident. It seems determined  to perform like a sled. Not sure this is the adventure I was hoping for….

Regardless, I am ready. The sled is packed. A freshly sewn button is on my driving sweater. (Thanks, Mom) The dogs are giving me their sweetest “don’t leave me” eyes to ensure their position on the sled.

My goal on the way back is to talk to more people.  Understanding that my time in city communities is limited, I don’t believe it matters if I pick cities to stop in that are known for being friendly communities. I need to let the community within me find and connect with other people willing to share their inter-community.

I will continue to tweet, share photos and blog until I am back in Los Angeles next week.
